Safeguarding
Safeguarding children and young people is everyone’s responsibility.
All staff who deal with children have a very clear duty to report any concern they may have about any child’s well-being. There are well-established national procedures for dealing with such a situation. All staff, governors and visiting instructors to Waterfield have been cleared by the Disclosure and Barring Service as having no record which would prevent them from working with children.
The Designated Safeguarding Lead at Waterfield Primary School is Mrs Kate Sellers, Deputy Principal. Mr Purveur (Principal), Miss Billington (SENDCO) Mr Chambelain (Assistant Principal) abd Mrs Duquemin (Assistant Principal) are also trained Deputy Safeguarding Leaders. Please report and safeguarding concerns to these members of staff.

To contact the school about a safeguarding or child protection concern, please use the email address: dsl@waterfield.org.uk
Should you be unable to report concerns to the DSL team at school, you can contact West Sussex Safeguarding Children Partnership through the Integrated Front Door on 01403 229900 or by email on WSChildrenServices@westsussex.gov.uk
