As part of their topic, “Where Does the World End?”, Year 2 recently enjoyed an exciting visit to Lancing Beach. Having been reading At the Beach by Roland Harvey in class, the children were eager to discover all the wonderful things the seaside has to offer.

During the trip, the children explored the pebbled beach in search of interesting treasures. They found a variety of fascinating rocks, beautiful shells, and even parts of a crab – including a claw that could still move!

After their beach exploration, the children took off their shoes and paddled in the sea. Although the water was very wavy and incredibly cold, they thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The afternoon was then spent on the green, where the children took part in a range of team games and activities together.

It was a fantastic day, and the children thoroughly enjoyed their beach adventure while creating wonderful memories with their friends.
