International Food Share Day
At Waterfield, our greatest strength is the diversity of our families. With over 40 spoken languages represented within our school, every day is a global experience. However, once a year, we bring that diversity to the table and celebrate our annual International Food Share.
A Celebration of Culture and Connection
The International Food Share is a cornerstone of our school’s mission to foster integration and strengthen community bonds. In an increasingly digital world, the simple act of sharing a meal remains one of the most powerful ways to build understanding and friendship.
“This event is a highlight of our academic calendar,” says Mr James Purveur. “Seeing our playground transformed into a global marketplace of smells, tastes, and stories reminds us all of the rich demographic that makes Waterfield such a vibrant place to learn.”
We invited families to prepare a dish that represented the country or countries they call home. By sharing a ‘taste of home’, our families aren’t just providing food, they are providing a bridge to better communication and mutual respect. We enjoyed seeing and tasting the incredible diversity our school has to offer.
